Would spring hurry up and get here already!?

As the pieces I’ve created for my shop, I am sooo ready for spring! Unfortunately, we are expecting more snow here in KC :(
Lucky for me I’ve got my home studio getaway where I can dream about sunny weather and create beautiful spring inspired accessories!

Miley Cyrus at Wal-Mart

How did the geniuses at Wal-Mart know that it is impossible for me to resist any article of clothing that a) has sequins b) is purple and c) under $20.00!

The Miley Cyrus and Max Azria line at Wal-Mart is all about tees, tunics, skinny jeans, leggings, short skirts and party dresses! She’s even got shoes and accessories. And I find it all totally irresistable!!!!

Never mind the fact that I’m a 24 year old wearing clothing meant for 13 year olds!

MissBettyLou is on Facebook!

I've finally created a Facebook fan page for my Etsy shop!

Next I’ll have to get a twitter account. I hear it’s a great marketing tool for etsy sellers but I have NO clue how to use it!

I’ll have to do some research on it. Anyone have any tips for a beginner tweeter?

Sold and relisted

My White Bridal Statement Necklace recently sold and has now been relisted!

Oprah's Statement Necklace!

I was watching Oprah last week and was so excited to see her wearing a statement necklace similar to the ones I make in my shop!

Update ♥ and long overdue!!!

In my last post I boasted about my 700 sales. Well, it’s been nearly a year and I’ve almost doubled my sales. But the growth of my Etsy shop has been seriously hindered by my college education. No more excuses since I have now graduated! Yep, I’m finally a college graduate. I’ve earned my Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Religious Studies with a minor in Psychology at Avila University (go Eagles).

Since my graduation in December and my subsequent recovery from the holidays and year ending at work-I’ve been hard at work crafting every chance I get!

One of my favorite arts is sculpting and I feel like I’ve honed in on that skill with the new accessories I’ve been making. I shape beautiful fabrics into darling little flowers and add any embellishment that I can find-I have an ample supply of shiny and glittery things!

They’ve been a big hit so far with all of my friends (who have great taste so I trust them implicitly)!
